Here are two recommendations of books that I have read and enjoyed and a third recommendation that is on my to-read list (as I seem to always have a lot of books on that list):

2. Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
3. (On my to-read list) JR by William Gaddis

Happy reading!

Beautiful Books.

Expand your mind

Why hello! One of the things I am constantly trying to do more of is read. I'm always trying to read more because there are an extreme amount of good books out there and I definitely want to get a taste of a good chunk of them. I've decided that it's quite possible that there are other people out there who are trying to read more as well! Because of that, I've decided to start a little post in which I will recommend three books to you. Two recommendations will be books that I have read and enjoyed. Another recommendation will be a book that is on my to-read list (as I seem to always have a lot of books on that list).

Here is the first list:

1. Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher
2. The Bean Trees by Barbara Kingsolver
3. (On my to-read list) Hate List by Jennifer Brown

Happy reading!

The Great Gatsby, Revisited.

Recommended:
The Great Gatsby.

The Great Gatsby has always been one of those books that I knew I loved but I just couldn't quite remember why and I couldn't really remember the plot... It made a lasting impression but that impression was more an emotion than anything else. With the movie coming out (I can't wait to see it!), I decided to reread the book and I was pleasantly reminded of why I had loved it so much. It was like visiting an old friend you haven't really been in touch with but once you meet it's like no time has passed at all. I strongly recommend reading or rereading The Great Gatsby and then going to the movie to enjoy it in picture and to drool over the costumes designed by Miuccia Prada.

I'm definitely planning on going to the midnight showing! Is anyone else?
