A Wednesday Morning Sketch.

Recommended:
Reclaim your passion

I've recently, after three years, reopened my sketch book. I decided I wanted to reclaim my love of artistry. Pencil drawings and portraits used to be my favorite things to do, so I've really been focusing on those. I used to define myself as an artist. I even took a gap year between high school and college to study all things art related. My artist identity began to fade as I entered college. it was a gradual progression of focusing on other things and creating new identities for myself that surrounded my new collegiate interests. I subconsciously thought I would always have art, so it took me a while to realize that I didn't quite have it anymore. Wednesday morning was the first time in three years that I took out my proper shading utensil and sat down with a pencil, my sketchbook, and a photo for inspiration. Here is what transpired:

Drawing Inspirations Four

Recommended:
Don't let a blank page be.

The nice weather really makes me want to bust out my charcoals, so I've been taking a look at different pictures on tumbler, for some inspiration. Here are photos I have come across that I would love to draw:

Drawing time!

Between the Lines.

Recommended:
Celebrate the small steps

Well, I've finally done it!
*Happy Face*

As a follow up to my 'Drawing Inspirations' post, I wanted to announce that I've created, although small and not on proper paper, a little series of artwork. It was a fun little project I took upon myself to create while trying to pay attention in my personality psychology class (I love you personality psychology, but sometimes you are a very dry topic). All of these little doodles were done on notebook paper which is why I decided to title the series 'Between the Lines'. Hopefully the ideas of the doodles outlive the cliche name. Here are the little masterpieces (as I like to dramatically call them while doing a little 'ta da!' with my arms):

The birth of the series idea.
Going crazy with the thing. See if you can follow the story!
Cutesie.
Fun!
Random.
Eyelashes!
Forest within a claw.

What do you think of the name? Do you like it? Any better ideas?
Hope you enjoyed!
